Changing your smile can be a lengthy process, but we’ll be with you every step of the way. Here’s what you can expect:

Step 1

At your consultation, we’ll talk about the smile you want to achieve and make an action plan for getting there. We’ll also get a lot of photos and 3D images of your teeth so your Invisalign trays fit perfectly.

Step 2

Once you get your custom Invisalign trays, you’ll wear them for the majority of each day—we’re talking at least 20 hours every day. You can take them out to eat and brush/floss your teeth!

Step 3

You’ll have several sets of Invisalign trays, designed to gradually shift your teeth into the position you want them. We’ll provide you with a schedule for when you need to change to the next tray.

Does Invisalign hurt?

The smooth surface of your Invisalign aligners means the inside of your mouth is safe from the small cuts and scrapes that traditional braces can cause.

Some people do experience some soreness or pressure with Invisalign, particularly when switching to a new set of aligners. For most, this discomfort is mild and over-the-counter medicine provides adequate relief.

How long does it take for Invisalign to work?

The honest answer is: it depends. Generally speaking, it takes 12–16 months for most people to reach their desired results, but your exact timeline depends on your needs. We’ll discuss your custom treatment plan at your consultation!
